If I had it to do it one time, I think I’d get a Weber Performer 22” charcoal, possibly look at getting the 26” Weber kettle charcoal one day. Both are excellent charcoal grills and can handle some volume if needed...especially the 26”.
The Ranch Kettle is 37” and $1450

This is the second one of these I had. Last one was 6 or 7 years old when it finally rusted out. Burners never gave out, just the metal holding them in. 3 gas Burners. Same size charcoal area. Also has fire box for smoking or indirect heat. 300 smackers at Academy Sports.0329201843.jpg

I see you has the pickled green beans wit kidney beans and da baby corns in dere for a little spice. Good choice. Used to hate that stuff when I wuz a kid, but it'd be pretty good to have some now. Pour some a dat juice on dat pork tenderloin. Makes it more gooder.

I meant for you to add to your collection.
I’d love to have a Weber Ranch...but with what I’ve got currently, it’s unnecessary. I know a couple of folks that have ‘em, they’re fine grills...but they can sure eat some kinda charcoal.

Gary, I’d offer this concerning a grill, and possibly a dedicated smoker...either get a Weber Performer 22” with the gas manifold in it, uses the little 1lb cylinders, it’s only to get the charcoal going, it serves no other purpose, then shut it off, to get your coals going in the coal holders...just beats the hell out of a charcoal chimney starter and a couple of pieces of newspaper...or get a 26” Weber kettle.

Then, buy a WSM, Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5”. You’ll be set for anything you want to grill or smoke. They also make a 14” and 18” version of the WSM. You can walk with both Performer grill/22.5” WSM smoker for less than a grand. There’s nothing you can’t handle with both of these. And they are fine grilling/smoking machines.

I been doing this stuff for decades now...and if I had to do it all over again, the aforementioned is the way to go. And I’ve got Traegers, Smoke Hollows, Weber Genesis II LX’s, Brinkmann offset barrel pits, etc. The Weber’s are solid built, good machines.
