Well monkeys...looks as if Uncle Sams' airplane business here is going on hiatus for a little while across all squadrons...C-17's, C-5's, C-130's, F-15's, EC-8 JSTARS, RQ-4 Global Hawks. AFMC/ALC base-wide command decisions...the Generals do what the Generals do!

Effective Monday, we are authorized up to 60 days paid Administrative Leave until things change...how to define 'until things change' is not our interpretation. Several more confirmed cases here in mid-Ga, several folks have been forced to go home across the base over the last several days, being symptomatic to some degree. Not saying they have the COVID-19 bullshitt, but decisions have to be made when twenty thousand are employed here btwn DoD Civil Service, Active Duty, and National Guard.

This stay at home/no base work policy is only in effect until decisions are made to bring everyone back...and if called back at any time throughout this 60-day window, report back the following workday...it's back to monkey business and airplane business as usual.

All I know right now...

It's creepy Steve. I usually hear saws running in any direction here because the ravine and the mountains...the last couple of days it's been creepy quiet.

Heard from one of my fellow Wisco saw dorks of the same, other than a miles long train full of Military equipment and a squadron of helicopters flying in formation. Which could confirm the radio report of the Wisconsin National Guard being activated. No reason was given as to why or for what purpose...

Rumor I've heard is, states are activating National Guard units to set up mobile hospitals for the expected influx of coronavirus patients. That way they can TRY to keep hospitals from getting outbreaks along with keeping beds open for non-covid19 patients. Don't quote me on it, just a rumor I've heard.

This is good news. A Greek doctor has come across a pathogen in the blood of serious cases of corona patients.

He thinks if the pathogen can be blocked in the blood stream, it may be possible to prevent people from developing the very serious pneumonia associated with corona.

https://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2020/03/20/covid-19-pneumonia-greece-research-treatment/
it’s the severe pneumonia who kills those who get a hard hit by the corona virus, lets hope they find a fast solution to help those who suffer bad by it.
I was supposed to get a shoot who prevent the worse pneumonia development but we was empty of them.

I've watch this whole thing unfold and have decent local contacts. We have people in Q for over two weeks now in our town. Over in near by PA the guard was in gear over a week ago.

Only thing I see lacking at the drive trough test stations is they don't mist the workers hands/gloves between test. That can be a transmission point in close contact to your face and spit. The devils always in the details. None religious I be but...I got soul... bwaaaa

Tuning off the TV this weekend and spending it wiring motors, rewiring motors, family time here and some woods time testing saws. Plenty of work to do... lets see who gets some other *s-word done now that pesky money earning thing has been put on hold for the most part. I'm restructuring things here so when the gate drops we hit the ground running. My new gig will have no where to go but u^p
