Stens sucks

This isn’t a chainsaw issue but it could be if this is the new normal for stens. I broke a deck cable. Ordered replacements from pantano power equipment. They say this is a stens part but the packaging doesn’t have the normal black and blue logo. The center one is an MTD I ended up getting from the dealer. I replaced one side and couldn’t level the deck. Had I used both I could have mowed banked turns in a racetrack.

I work at a dealer who carrys a lot of stens and never have seen anything from stens packed or labeled like that... i am guessing knockoffs?

I say they are fakes. I buy a lot of stens stuff and never saw anything like that. I emailed stens but no response.

Frustrating, ain't it? Try to tell them of a product problem to help them out, and they won't move past their computer screen to check it out further. Been there. Give up and save yourself.

I even sent emails to stens and no response. They suck to replace and someone with just basic tools is really gonna have doing it twice. You need a long 9/16 wrench and a long flex head 1/4 ratchet to do it without tearing extra stuff off the mower.

I paid $40 for a Stens bar tip grease gun that was actually an $18 Dualco in Stens packaging.

There should be a rule.
