What are you using to set the posts?

(we’d kill for a 12” frost line. We average 4’ and have been 10’ on a bad winter. Underground plumbing here has to be below 6.

Does it really matter if I sent my post for an awning at three foot deep vs four?

Frost line here is about a foot in bad winters. The ground is mostly sand over a clay belt about four feet down. 6x8 hardwood post to hold up a tin roof with post and beams.
Thoughts

Should be fine. Even if it did heave a little (highly doubtful) it would go back in the spring.

Funny the 010 is right above the oil filter. Not in the usual place, but definitely a factory 4 bolt main. How's Mike been?

Yep he's all kinds of happy. Now schools in session for him to learn to swap the motors.

Yep after he has some driving experience under his belt. I had a nasty 383 in my old 64 El Camino. It was actually a bit much for daily driving. Less cam and carb would have helped, but the compression was to high for pump gas.

I googled it. Says he’s based out of York which is basically Toronto. He’d be about 1.5 hours away from me.
