This “massive” winter storm has been a big flop for us. Got about 6” altogether (weather guessers were calling for 18+). What a big let down. At least i got to try out the new tires on the Exploder; Falken Wildpeak A/T3W.

I am quite impressed! Excellent in the rain a d really really good in the snow so far. Deep snow rated although the deepest i could find was some plow truck rows. Highly recommend.

You put on dedicated snow tires? Good on you. I just run all season, its a 2008 Exploder with 4.6 and does a lot of towing. Its my “work truck” and sees the most abuse.

whatever you do DO NOT get a V6!!!! The engine is mediocre and the trans is absolute garbage! The 4.6 comes mated to the 6r60 6 speed trans and has been a phenomenal combination. I searched a long time for mine; v8, tow package, 3.55 gears. No major problems in almost 5 years of ownership and its about to roll over 200k

Its a body on frame vehicle, although it does have front and rear independent suspension.
