Hey Dave that tread fix kit is a win. I used two 6mm and one 5mm today.

Only real drawback it the thread wire could be a bit more precise for heavy loads like motor mounts. The taps are true and cut correctly. Installed bolts have just a bit of play. I only did aluminium and magnesium. Steel might make them a bit tighter. They will work great in cast iron. Thread wire appears to be of decent quality.
