Hey sweetie went to Lindseys friends house for a bit. Cleaned up round the house after that. About it, how about you?
I slept in late today and then spent the rest of the day in the shop messing with a couple saws. Coffee n couch time now.

Hey Kev, how's it going? What saws you playing with today?
Put a bb kit on the 6421 raffle saw I won. Won't idle. Bought a 7900 cylinder off the bay to put on it. Not sure what's up. Tried 3 different carbs. Hoping it's the heavy piston and not the $100 coil. Pulled Dustin's 064 down to get timing #'s. Das about it.

One of those in line LED spark testers are good for finding a low speed miss while running.

It's weird. Like it's under load at idle. Like a 36" bar with the chain too tight and a broken clutch spring. Let it below about 4k rpm and it dies.

I wonder what color blue powder paint on a mag case burns in a bonfire

You may need a different inlet lever spring in your carburetor, unless the diaphragm is too stiff to flutter properly.

Have you tried a different spark plug? Just for something easy to try

Got the little Poulan/Craftsman 2.0 running today. @Jon1212 Carburetor was very sensitive and hard to adjust and stay adjusted, when saw was turned on one side it would speed up, the other side it would die. It was oiling and I did manage to cut a couple pieces of wood, it did real good with that new Raisman chain. Pretty sure you know the diagnosis from what I've discovered.

Edit: Also it didn't run like a ported saw at all, whomever did the porting, must have had a real light touch.

Evening all. Exhausted here and pretty grumpy. Elliott was being a jerk and didn't end up taking him to the football game (our team lost anyway). Spent the afternoon shopping for a TV and stand for MIL as her's died yesterday. Got everything to her place but took about 2 1/2 hours to put the stand together.

Probably best that I am not out in public tonight or I would be passing out GFY's left right and centre...

What about oil? Did you mix with Red Armor? That miracle potion cures everything, doesn't it?
I ran off a batch of home brew...same same.

I've removed the cylinder enough times that I'm no longer certain if the Red Armor is the cause or the effect
