If you complained enough you got a whole new engine/full rebuild.

5.3 did it too. Lasted forever though. Ol lady's 01 Tahoe had 280k on it without touching the motor

Fuel pumps? Not so much though. Had to keep 2 spares in case the first spare didn't last long enough to get another ordered

He's planning on it. He has a huge maple to take out on Saturday.

Unfortunately we are camping this weekend and I'm not going to be able to make it to see it. He said he's going to try to take a video and for sure pictures.

Doing quite well the manager at my work ok me buying one of our old trucks today. It a 05' 3500 4x4 with a 6.0L. The downside is it's not running.... I really think that it's got a bad lifter???

I haven't heard it run since it died on our summer help kids, then they left the key on and killed the battery.
This truck has had lifter noise for years... So time will tell.
