You don't need to lower the water level more than that?
My parents have a pool and need to lower it by about 1/3 or so.

I lower mine so that the water is about 6" below any plastic bits, should probably look at closing it soon but for this weekend just turning off the heater and we'll see what it looks like after next week.

My parents have a pool and need to lower it by about 1/3 or so.

I drain it to below the return port. As it rains and water lays on top of the cover, it will push some water out of the skimmer, but not a lot

Evening bishes. Slim progress on the shed but it’s ready for steel. I’ll probably add the fascia first but at least I can get everything ordered. I’m going to build a door using an old piece of glass my dad brought me before he passed. More to come on that. I think it’ll be pretty cool.

That's probably about where there's is as it's not real deep around the outside. I guess I never paid too close of attention.
