The truck has no AC
So I hung out in the beer cave a few minutes cooling down when I drove it home
73.00 in gas to fill if up and I put 5 gallons in it this morning
Neighbors steal gas from everybody there.

Today I have been a hopeless mechanic, I can blame myself for being very rusty.

560, Coil installed, I took it very easy with the carburetor, took the air filter part last, a little backwards but carefully. It went well so far.

Started up great, and then it started to run more and more poorly. Something was wrong and I didn't understand what. I put on a different flywheel, and that didn't help, not to mention all the times I have adjusted the coil. It spins well at idle, so to speak, but not as it should.

After an hour of pondering, I started checking the boot, and well, I hadn't tightened the carburetor screws, one had unscrewed completely, while the other was quite loose.

It is most likely so far out of calibration that the solution will be to reset the carburetor at MaskinSalg, more than enough mixture in the exhaust, at least that's what it looks like on the outside.

I took off the muffler to check that I hadn't burned a piston, and it was clean.

Tomorrow I'm going to redo the carb, just so that everything is 100% correct before I plan a drive to Evje.

It will fire up and run poorly until it adjusts itself out of its current state not to worry, I haven't seen one that didn't yet.

It is also my experience that they calibrate themselves over time even after they have been far out of specs.

I will redo the carb assembly tomorrow, and give it another try, let it idle for a while. Just so I have eliminated that part.

Embarrassing to make a mistake like that though.

Yep, that's very true, it happens, and it won't be the last time.
Now tomorrow will be much better, among other things it will rain, and the 560 will get a new round of Norwegian fingers caressing lol

I have a spare coil and carburetor from 2014 that also comes from a 560 saw, and have updated software, carb reset.
It could also be the salvation today.

I would prefer to have the new one, but just as important to find a good solution.

Besides the 560, I will work a little more with the 234SG, and 357XPW.
234 gets a cylinder (hopefully piston is included) on Tuesday, the only thing missing for it is a gasket, air filter, carburetor HDA 12.
The only thing missing for the 357XPW is a meteor piston.
357 is the replacement for 254/262 at my place, I think it is a better saw.

On Monday I get a 242xpg in the mail, I thought it looked like a Gilardoni marking, but not sure until I get it.
I spent 5-6 years getting my first and only 242 with 241B cylinder, a friend of mine kept asking me to buy it, I gave it to him as a gift.
Later when he had his usual daily dose of alcohol, he traded it away for another chainsaw. I'm bitter, but that's life, positive and negative.
If this one has a 241B, I'll keep it for myself.
