I never could hardly tell one mushroom from another I always relied on older people
When I was a kid an old timer shroom picker invited me for a sampling of cooked shrooms that he picked seeing that I had interest in it, said to come back in a few days at a certain time and he would have them ready to eat. Swore that he knew the good ones from the bad ones, not to worry. A neighbor came and told me as I was knocking at his door that he had ate a bad one and died a day prior. Needless to say, I lost interest pretty fast in shrooming. It was too bad there wasn't a school he could have attended back then to help educate himself properly like today.
I'm familiar with it. Not only did we learn about the 20 genus that the state allows to sell, we also learned about ~dozen toxic species, including the ones containing amatoxin, which is what I believe she allegedly used. The scariest though are the Cortinarius varieties, which have a toxin with delayed symptoms. 10 days to three weeks onset. Most folks experience kidney failure and don't even know why.

Negative. I hate the general public too much. Probably just connect with some local chefs or do FB by appointment. I don't find enough variety at one time for a stand.
