The pleurotus citrinopileatus, or Golden oyster, is probably popping up all over in your area and is a pretty safe, tasty wild shroom. I did not know that they are invasive here.

I think I told you last week at Adam's about an elm stump near the house loaded with them. Someone stopped and cut some the next day.
