Well the smoker made it through the night. Unfortunately there was a slight issue with the brisket that caused an area of bark to not set. I turned up the temp for about 1.5 hours to help but still the same. It’s now wrapped and will keep a close eye on it. Should be in the cooler around 9. On the plus side it looked fantastic when I wrapped it. I wanted to slice a piece to sample but I never cut into a brisket until it’s time. You guys stay safe and play safe this weekend. Enjoy the extra day and thank those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our long weekend.

Good morning guys,

I got the Temu pliers yesterday, and got to use them.
The terminal is not a perfect match but was the maximum of what the pliers could do.

It will probably not be a problem as it is but I will solder so then it will be strong.

Happy Birthday @AlfA01

Not a fan of the split in the lug.

It is weaker compared to a full sleeve, but I prefer split since it is easier to work with and you can see that the crimping tool has crimped correctly.
These MTA terminals are much thicker than the ones you normally buy, so it was hell to crimp.
