Someone gave me a Bosch axt 25 d to look at yesterday. Apparently it runs for 2 sec then bleeps and won’t do anything else.

Now I got a feeling they got it from a late relative and there’s nothing wrong with it.
I think They just can’t read a manual and set it up…ffs.

I downloaded the manual and had a look last night. If I get chance this afternoon, I will work my way through the set up/ check for any blockages and adjust the cutting plate, check/ or bypass the safety switches to eliminate them. There’s 2, the hopper and the collection basket
Check the brushes on the motor and and the bearings are not seized. if there ok and it still don’t work then bypass everything and Hotwire the motor to see if it works
Then it would lead me to believe the control circuit board is bad or has some dirty connections although I will have a look at it if I have to bypass it

These homeowner garden shredders are just over £300 new and a new circuit board is about £100.

Let’s see what I’ve let myself in for

Good morning gang.

That pita of an electric shredder yesterday, I had it apart twice. Anyway I think it’s the cutter/gearbox semi seized.
So the electronics thinks it’s got a blockage and cuts the power to the motor

I couldn’t/didn’t have time to pull all the gearbox apart and it still don’t run
And it’s gonna be difficult to get it all apart.
It will have to wait till the weekend now
