Ever heard of such? All I can say is that a violent ending... Root cause unknown. After the death I looked under the cap at the rocker arms and my exhaust pushrod was awol. Tried turning the blower upside down and that did no good. Repeat. No good. The blower was under warranty and Stihl replaced the machine with a new one. Thanks, Stihl. I went to my dealer, H&R Agri-Power in Tanner, AL to pick up my new blower and inspect my defective blower and holy smokes the cam follower was broken in half. The whole lower half of the exhaust cam follower was in several pieces. The cam lobe was scarred. Both valves freely moved. Apparently the pushrod came loose, got all tangled in the cam follower and jammed the whole thing. My first thought was a hanging valve but not so. Anyone ever heard of this type of 4-mix failure?
