Same ole same ole how about you?
Mostly the same. We had a pretty serious issue this month when my wife's long estranged mother wound up in our house after her husband died. She has late stage Alzheimer's. It was a ride... She's in a proper spot now to get her what she needs so things are kind of coming back down to earth.

Alzheimer's is painful to see. Glas you could that you could get her care.

I made it to the ridge home IMG_20260127_145001924_HDR.jpgIMG_20260128_030047054.jpg
Most didn't make it they walked over 3 miles
Home my neighbor couldn't make it so he sat at the bottom and harassed the state road guys until they brought a salt truck but it's too cold to activate anyway
Power just went out supposed to be on this evening.

My late FIL developed it. He was a paratrooper in the 173rd. Participated in the only combat jump in Vietnam. He was smart, kind and in some ways hard.

I loved him, my own dad died when I was 19 and William treated me like his.

It was incredibly hard to see his mind go away.

Ouch! Insurance covering that hopefully? Time for a 3/4 ton?

Yep, the driver was insured. Not sure how much they’ll try to value a 1995 f-150 at though, despite the fact that I’ve put a lot of work into it in the last couple of years and it was in excellent shape.

It is now 3/4 ton time.

I’d like to get my hands on an early 2000’s Chevy with the 8.1/Allison and a long bed. That would be a great mountain firewood truck.
