It's been a little over 5 weeks since hand surgery. Removable cast is off at home except at bedtime. Wearing the cast when out of the house. Still some swelling and now working on making a fist. Have done some snow shoveling and snowblowing. No pain its just tight, able to grip a piece of 3/4" pvc pipe but nothing smaller in diameter so far.

Not fun, but encouraging. Recovery after any immobilizing injury is a PITA, but it sounds like you're out of the woods. Or back in the woods. Metaphors are confusing!

Anyway, congrats on progress.

G’Day All. Was a crazy busy week of travel and then getting caught up on life.
Did I miss anything good?
Now that you are back , I must confess: I never knew you were gone. I hope (Humorous sarcasm) you are happy with yerself. Sneaking off and leaving all of us to hold this forum together. We Did Manage (Without You) to carry on.

It does saddens me me a bit to read through a week’s posts in under an hour. So many missing peeps this days…

@Stump Shot or anyone else, have you talked to Ed lately? How’s his dad? Is he still fighting or did F’en cancer take him?

Nice feed of fish to have for tea. Which is dinner if you don't speak proper...

Anyhow, this 135 Optimax @Only the Tony @Bilge Rat .
I cut the top off a 50 gal blue barrel, and then a trim n tilt relief slot too. Can't get the outboard down enough to get the barrel flat on the ground without basically digging a bit of a hole underneath it however. Barrel does have to 'flex' to get over the gear case but it does work.
I took a bit of notice of some running Temps for once. In the water at 4250rpm the guage says 45c 113f, on the ear muffs and in the barrel at idle 69c 156f.
Ambient cooling water ocean and hose 20c 68f. Recycled barrel water considerably warmer but no difference in idle guage temp.
I think the oem thermostats are 87c 188f?
Dunno what any of it means yet but thought I'd record it somewhere, and you lot need something to read ay.
