If you guys were gonna buy a log splitter between 25-30 ton at one of the box stores which one would you buy ?

One of my friends asked and I have no idea. I have a Rayco but he's not willing to spend that kind of cheddar, doesn't need it.
I am using an older Speeco that I bought from TSC many years back, home use only. Not sure who actually manufactured it at that time but several stores carried the same splitter just with a different name. Used to hear good things about dirty hand tool branded splitter but it looks like they are no longer available. Wish I could tell you more.

I wouldn't myself. Most all are made in China and just different paint, sticker and engine differences. After replacing the engine, pump, tires etc., on my box store rig it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to buy new. The one I would love to get my hands on is from Northern Tool, it has a commercial engine and American made pump as well as a filtering set up for the hydraulics. Right now for the next few days they are advertising free shipping on orders over $99, I'd try 'em out on that.
