Wife told me last night we need a Cadillac CT4 Blackwing for pleasure driving. I asked her if that is where we take the sandpaper dent puller and drive around……..she didn’t get it and i didn’t explain.

I don’t quite understand the joke that your wife didn’t understand. I know before I said I hated tech, and that’s true, but if I won the lottery for millions I’d buy some new cars, the Cadillac Blackwing being one of them.

Maybe they were spot welded and sealed/glued on the seam and it was just done poorly. Was a late 80’s Chevy after the square body was done. Think he said they only had issues on 88 and early 89

if they were not maintained and bushings no longer worked you had to buy a door
so not a factory problem but operator error

Ol Blue....88 Chevy truck. I rebuilt the engine and put another 100k miles on the body. It had about 300k when I scraped it. Driver's side door was a damn mess. I finally took it off and took a sledgehammer to the top hinge after God only knows how many pins and bushings. Great truck though.
