I do agree that metric has its place. Where imperial shines is in common use. The relationships between fluid measurements is much easier. Teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, pints, quarts, gallons. Liters per 100 km's is one of the most retarded ways of measuring anything. Do you guys put liter consumption gauges in your cars. My odometer and calibrated fuel pump is all I need to get accurate mileage readings. Science stuff is ok. Daily, not so much.
I completely agree Larry, some just make more sense some places. We should agree that they each have their place and use the one that makes the most sense in each application. Vehicle efficiency should be measured as distance/consumption I don’t know whyu metric doesn’t use KMS/L why wouldn’t that work? Now, let’s talk Gallons, why does America need its gallon to be different than the rest of the world? Especially, why would they chose smaller???
What say we all use what works and be done with it.
Here Here, almost sounds like FREEDOM!!! I kid but I do believe using what you are most used to and is most ubiquitous in your region is makes the most sense.

After you

Wide open spaces ?
Dixie what?
Yaso, we had our daughters end of year school prize giving today, and there were some pretty good musical performances.
Not, however, anywhere the standard of this group from @markds2 island.
All hope is not lost if school kids are banging this stuff out.
All is not lost indeed.

Zero C is frozen.
Negative 2C is even more freezing.

It's pretty simple. Perhaps that's why you don't like it.
We gotta get you over here in the upper midwest or canada so you can see what negative really feels like😄

I’ve thrown a pot of boiling water in the air and it freezes before it hits the ground. Knot moving.

Logger fuel: So a lot of you (none of you) have been asking what I’m having for breakfast.

Well today it’s 3 eggs fried flat, 2 sausage patties, 4 strips of bacon, and a cranberry bagelIMG_8504.jpeg

Ope! Don’t forget about the hashbrowns with sharp cheddar cheese under the eggsIMG_8503.jpeg

Now hopefully I don’t get hungry until lunch time.

Careful or you'll need worms like your step uncle Jason.
Degrees, minutes and seconds?

No seconds.
Not even sloppy ones.

Metric system has forced me to buy complete set of sockets - shallow and deep along with wrenches. It has made it a pain in the butt to figure out what is the thread pitch and is it metric or sae. Have to buy assorted size metric nuts and bolts to supplement my stash of non metric fasteners accumulated over decades.:loco: Sorry not buying metric drill bits.

That’s a kids meal
If you want it to last a while you would have gravy and biscuits with potatoes
You could eat 4 of those plate full and still be hungry a hour after getting there

Welp. I'm going to stay away from bread, pasta, and taters for awhile. As if life wasn't sucky enough......
I have cut back on sugar intake, and it has greatly reduced the inflammation and joint pain I was experiencing. Diet plays a bigger role in our overall health than many people realize.
