Plus, quadrabog and stuff.

The 305 in the SB has dished pistons that are flopping around in the bore.....compression on that turd is nearly non existent. Plus.....Edelbrock 1406 not Q-jet.

The distributor is pretty loose. It might have backed up enough.......

But.....no working choke. I figure it lean popped.

I like the Q-Jet.....and the Carter AFB, which is an Edelbrock 1406. I also like the Holley carbs. The trick is that a fella needs to be a little bit smarter than the carb. LOL

The Bubba's square body popped back thru the carb last night and caught on fire. He got it put out, but it melted the accelerator pump plunger.

That's never happened to my Ford.

But did the Flux Capacitor get damaged?
