on the intake side it does have wear but other corner is wet so im doubting straight gas so you may need to look at seals and hoses also
Yes.

After some deliberation, I think some oil but not enough oil, or straight gas as you said,
The spark plug was a lovely choc brown colour.

Iirc that stihl pdf about wrong/mixes/straight gas says. The flywheel side gets cooled, so that will have less scoring on the intake side. but as the the exhaust is hotter it will be scored evenly

So, it’s back together at silly “o” clock last night as She wants it working. The piston is sanded to take the high spots off. The rings are cleaned but not in good shape but the cylinder is good and clean.

I will put 1/4 a tank of my fuel through it and hopefully if it lasts ? Then she can have it.
but I will say it really really needs a new piston and rings.

Happy balmy Friday, almost November and it is warm out at 5:50am. Want to deer hunt tomorrow morning, but not if I will be sweating. May just do rifle season this year. @notmoving
