In typical fashion the wet stuff gonna land here this Sat and Sun and fuq up another wknd.
I try not to look that far ahead. Wife does that as she is in charge of animal care. I provide man power and materials. Lol. Feeding hay today as she says it is a washout. Probably have 3 months of droughts this summer, as we are using up a lot of rain so far this year. I take what I get.

Anyone have any idea when they started putting warning labels, or stamps, on things?

I have two true temper mauls, one has a stamp on the side of the head, that says wear eye protection, other does not.

I assume the one with out the stamp is older, just ball park idea, when those warnings started?

Like anyone here will give a fug. I found my answer digging on the ooogles.

Had I not found it I would of guessed 1980 off the top of my head.

To put it into terms you guys will understand, in 1976 OSHA gave ANSI a handy, about having protection warnings on striking tools like hammers, mauls, axes, and other pounding tools, starting in 1977 pounding tools started coming with warning stamps or labels, about wearing eye protection.

Neat to know one of my mauls is pre 1977....

I can’t remember if I told you guys, but the rear driveshaft in my skidder decided to commit suicide a few days ago:C720B8E4-FA6E-4A0B-988E-AF43D4D37149.jpeg

I let the clutch out and heard “bang!” and that was it. Shaft is at FleetPride being rebuilt - said it will take a week or so to get the yokes straight from Spicer...

It was fun....but damaging to the forum.
The best was when Tom (Thomas1) made the fake blsnelling account. I thought Brad was gonna have a aneurysm. He was threatening to sue him and call the FBI and everything but Brad had no idea who it was. 🤣

There were some good times on AS for sure.
