Nothing but a weld up and align bore now Adam. Was it a steel or bronze bushing they were removing? Maybe suggest ring welding id of bushing/bearing next time. LOL
BTW it's only a Volvo LOL. Looks good from Cleveland.

Some spherical thing bro. Line borer can't get his gear on there to tidy it up due to space issues, so the whole mount is gonna have to be cut off, repaired and reattached.

OK, Another suggestion from your friends over here in the USA. Jack up that right rear and block up. Then the bore tool drive motor will be on the bottom with the boring bar supports welded above and below the steering cylinder mount that is fubarred. Gonna be alot easier and more efficient way to repair. I don't think I would let that dude air arc anything else from previous results. LOL!! What are you supplying for the job? Parts? Do you have your feets up on your dashboard?

Sure hope you got a batwing hog for that Bobcat Mark. That sure is a bunch of traveling for a 72" hog.

Yes it is but there are trees in it so nobody else wants to do it
I told him $125/hr and he said that was fine do it

Welding around inner race will shrink it, no need to gouge! Not sure what part I am looking at. Good luck Adam!
Some old guy in a machine shop taught me that trick ions ago. The races fall right out. Just careful to keep the bead on the race lol

I just happened to walk in when the line bore guy, whom I know, was trying to set up. Was no way that it can be done on the machine, even with a long extension shaft allowing the drive motor to sit on the ground. The end bearings are just too large.
The pin wouldn't move with 50 metric ton pressure, the machine lifted first, so the burn out was attempted by the mechanical team. Cut it off and try and get the snap ring bits out of the mount is next apparently, then bore and resize.
I supply all sorts of consumables to the machine owner, it's used to scoop up wood chips for export for chip board furniture probably.
I don't put my feet on any dashboards. Too OCD. Leaves a mark. :)
