At the beginning of covid my friend jeff was unnoficially the head mechanic/carpenter and troubleshooter at the local dept of agriculture
he'd been there 30 year's or so.
Suddenly everyone got to work from home paid but him and a few others
They each had their own testing labs at home i guess.
And all the office women demanded he repaint and remodel their offices before they'd even consider returning to work lol
He worked everyday with a few seasonal helpers to keep the place running
Then winter hit and he was under their plow truck trying to get the hydraulic lines replaced
The superintendent called him and asked why there was snow on the parking lots
Jeff said plows down I'm working on
Superintendent said that's no excuse
Jeff said where are you
Superintendent said driving by.
Jeff said drive on back here for a second
He came back but wouldn't get out of his car covid and all
Jeff threw him the ring of keys to everything and said i have the covids and you'd better get tested touching those keys
And said I'm taking my paid 14 day's off.
Jeff had been sick with a covid for weeks but still worked
He retired after that 14 day's.
