Thats how I-94 gets out @cuinrearview way at least twice a winter.

More and more often now they just shut it down west of Paw Paw when the lake effect machine fires up. I was over there on Black Friday buying a lot of saws. Big wreck had it shut down half the day. It's as bad when the snow hits as 131 through Grand Rapids every day after 2:00. I just skip the whole city if I'm headed to the cabin on a Friday and don't leave work early.

Can't keep on poking the bear or beehive with good expectations I reckon, as it's hard not to come back once the topic is broached, leastways it is for me, I suspect it is for others as well.
@Woodpecker is right, I had a phone conversation about this very thing a few days ago with a member not seen here in recent times. So, we have to try harder to be better and stuff for the gooderment of everyone.

When I was a kid they put snow chains on the buses and went on. Now if they are even calling for snow they cancel school.

School buses up here all have those rotating retracting chain gizmos, which is fine until the front end starts sliding and you end up in the ditch

I wouldn't of thought ICE had much presence in Alaska. Didnt think they'd close a school down. Where are most of the immigrants from up there?

Understand, I'm the same way, typically only buy stuff on the BOGO deals, or such. They've been running a deal last few months on two 8.0 forges and the new dual bay super charger, it ends 2-2-25. On the fence about grabbing it, before time runs out.

I'm afraid of price hikes if 25% tariffs are tacked on some of these things.
