Not certain what is in them, no diesels anymore for package cars. Last one I spent several years in was an 8.1 gasser. What engine do those have in them nowadays? I know a lot of the older ones were 5.9 Cummins powered.
How far does it sink into the silt when dumped overboard in 20' of water?
Yep. Last diesel ones that came in management was told to put them on routes that would have a longer run in at the end of the day due to the DPF on them. So of course they stuck them in town so it would clog and cause problems. Then the mechanics had to run a manual DPF cycle and waste fuel and time, not to mention the number of break downs just because they needed that regen run.UPS doesn’t have diesel package cars anymore.
