Belt PTO driven Greg??Didn’t get as many logs sawed today as I hoped. Had some issues with the sawdust removal chain, and issues with the first tractor I put on the mill. It was still a good day though. Here is some of the red oak we milled today.View attachment 424874
Any nice quartersawn boards?Didn’t get as many logs sawed today as I hoped. Had some issues with the sawdust removal chain, and issues with the first tractor I put on the mill. It was still a good day though. Here is some of the red oak we milled today.View attachment 424874
It is still setup to run off a belt or direct PTO. I will probably be eliminating the belt drive to shorten the drive shaft.Belt PTO driven Greg??
Hell yeah. That’s about what I usually get
There are a couple that have the appearance, but I haven’t done any real quartersawing yet. I have some really good logs in red and white oak that I want to try it on. The oak in the picture came from a big log…the cant was basically 20” x 22” before I started breaking it down.Any nice quartersawn boards?

This one here….pto clutch started acting screwy, so we ended with my Dad’s New Holland TD 95D. I hope I didn’t smoke the PTO clutch on the 1950. View attachment 424876
