My working day is done, we achieved what we were supposed to, 11 hours in the ditch is felt in the muscles, or is it just because I have grown old?
Oh well, tomorrow I might pressure test the scored 238SG I bought, for no other reason than it's good to know why, the only part I need is the crank.

What is CP hours* on a cam and lifter set? Will your dealer allow you to go to the old style lifter and reprogram?

32.8 hours.
This is a newer LT engine. Can't go away from the deactivation on it.
Also, being a dealership, we can't do that on the older LS either.

Gotta ask Ed. Is the 5.3 an engine to hot rod? You have been posting a chit ton on the valve train issue. Do all these issues go away with aftermarket components? Is it design, lack of maintenance, or country of components manufacture? It seems as if the General needs to belly up to the bar on valve train failures. Your thoughts??
