The maddest i ever got at a auto parts store
Wasn't even a advance, AutoZone, O'Reilly's, auto works or some mom and pop shop.
It was a damn Napa in the late 90s i had a 1991 ford f150 300 six work truck and the alternator died at a jobsite so i called every place in the area and only a Napa had one a mexican remanufactured alternator.
So i borrowed a truck off a electrician and went and got it and traded in my old one as a core well it didn't work it was bad.
So i borrowed someone else's truck I can't remember who and went and traded in that one and got another mexican alternator.
Well that *f-worder was bad also so i swapped battery's with my boss so i could drive my truck to Napa
I pulled in it was over 100* in the summer and i took that alternator off a hot engine.
And went inside and traded that bad one in the guy handed me another remanufactured box and i walked outside and opened it
It was a used alternator somebody must've returned as new for the money?
I don't know but i was pissed i kicked those doors open and threw that
12-15 pound box overhanded probably 20ft away over top of the counter and he caught it and it just about took him off his feet the other two guy's took off running.
I don't remember what i said but it wasn't nice
I then had my own Napa pit crew
All three guy's came out and put a new much more expensive motorcraft alternator on it and a new air filter and checked all the fluids.
I did apologize a few day's later
I'm still friend's with larry he's the one i hit with the alternator
He said it fukin' hurt.
