I've heard either its awesome or its horrible, so I'm a bit hesitant to use it but its a lot more convenient and not nearly as messy as blasting. Mainly using it on windshield channels, floor and trunk pans.
If you don’t clear coat areas that will see sun it will turn cloudy but it’s tough as hell paint

And as the weekend closes in yay another couple days of massive amounts of traffic of people treating the fire impacted zones like a amusement park and driving by slowly oogling up your driveway. They just gotta know what I’m up to, what will I do next? Oh my I cut down some trees that’s something to see!
Sounds like a “GFY….keep driving” sign is in order.

It gets old fast, when it’s one person they probably don’t think much harm of it but it’s the masses doing it. I’ve had people from the campground up the road walk down just to look at my property, visoring the sun out of their eyes to get a long look up there, waging fingers around gesturing to areas of my land, in long discussions, have people driving and parking at the end of my driveway for minutes, people going by slow and reversing back etc. gotta have the itch of noseyness scratched.

Unless it's below 40 degrees and you don't have the 7.3 plugged in. Those be some cold blooded bishes.

Chevy's motto for the 6.5 diesel could've been....

"The 6.5 may not pull your 4 place sled trailer threw the intersection before the light changes back to red, but it will start when it's 40 degrees"

Lol

My friend Trevor had a 6.5 diesel in a new 1996 3500 chevy, it was ridiculously slow pulling his 4 place sled trailer. I had a 5.9 and our other friend Donovan had a 7.3, yes it favored being plugged in. But both were night & day different, vs the 6.5 pulling.

I let Trevor drive my 5.9 pulling the same trailer as he had, after a weekend up north, he was shocked by the difference. He hated dodge, but he liked the cummins enough, he went out bought a dodge anyways. Ed had a old f250 with a 300 six that had some tweaks, that old furd would out pull the 6.5 diesel towing the same 4 place sled trailer.

it’s one of those *f-worders, and diesel drip out from here:

@Tor R , That is a weep hole that tells you the internal shaft seal is leaking. Better it leaks externally than into your crankcase. Those Delphi pumps are known also to have internal aluminum pump body wear/erosion. I would suggest an exchange on a remanf pump from a diesel injection supply house instead of a reseal. More cheaper. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input.
You are probably right about the sealing ring, the neighbor read a bit about what was a common defect in this type of pump, and that diesel from the hole is a sealing ring leak.
These pumps are supposed to have a weak sealing ring at the front.
I didn't know about aluminum though.
The tractor is 20 years old but have only 3500 hours.

Replacement pump, isn't that around 3-5000$?

Aluminum fuel pump housing @Tor R. Roosa Master, CAV, and Delphi all have the common issue with housings. Yes sir most remanfs are $3500-4500 American. There are knock offs out there so beware. I opted to have one repaired/built. Actually more than an exchange.

Yep, that was the price I feared.
Assuming that it is the same garbage pump that is only available for this tractor, 3500 hours is far too short a lifetime for a diesel pump.

I am going to buy the repair manual for the mf 4355.
I don't quite know how to do the diesel pump, $3,500-$5,000 is a lot of money for something I rarely use a year, but I have to fix it anyway.
I would assume there are special tools to do the job and the little I know is that they need to be pressure tested afterwards.
I would also assume that tractors should not be used with that pump.

How it took the evening so early I don't know, but one doesn't know if previous owners have had lousy diesel, I myself have once.

I have two dealers I can consult with, one is a branded workshop, the other is very skilled in agricultural implements and tractors.

Huge thanks for all the information you have given me @timg very grateful for that.

@timg is a legend. He's been working on tractors so long he helped Fred Flintstone with one.

Good morning all. Ridiculous that an injection pump costs that much. Tractor would have to be valuable for me to spend that. Would probably part out the tractor. Good luck @Tor R

Edit: Then I looked up your tractor, too nice to part out. Would fix! I guess I assumed it was older. Sorry.
