IMO it was cool when it was a few well done (minus paint) hot rods, but now it’s getting a bit much. Kinda the cheap way to play with the big boys.

I'm in the "perfection is the enemy of progress" camp. I like to see people get their stuff off of the jack stands and on the road. Going out of your way to create a "patina" is fughin stupid in my humble opinion though.
