bad part of those sets are only about half the stuff is actually useful and used
That’s true when considering the bits that count towards the overall set...but when you need ‘em, they’re there. You can’t beat these sets of mechanic tools when they run ‘em half price around Black Friday deals every year, regardless of who’s name is on ‘em. These tool sets will get 95% of all home doers well. Make no bones about that. Only thing the average idiot needs is a decent set of channel locks, decent set of screwdrivers, and a decent set of vice grips...they can handle most anything that comes their way. And they’ve got a decent set of tool spread for $300 or less. In other words, you ain’t gotta have Proto, Mac, Snap-On to get by and accomplish a job.

Couple of DeWalt, I think they’re 200-pc mechanic tool sets, I’ve still got. Bought four year before last, gifted two sets to some folks. Was some kinda crazy ass, better than half price deal at HD, 55% off I think...said WTF and bought four of ‘em for the price of two sets at regular price. I’ve used one of these sets several times...fine tools with a lifetime warranty. I paid about $85 a set if memory serves correct...you can’t beat it for a decent set of tools.

i use to buy craftsman stuff just because of that
anymore i get the performance tool stuff at the local parts store and if i break something they warranty it for me
last thing i broke was a 3/4 ratchet that my buddy had a 8 foot cheater on and hes 250 pounds
told the store owner how it happened and he got me a new one

Helluva couple of gifts right here fellas if you’re hunting a little stocking stuffer, whatever....

Gerber Truss on the left...Mossy Oak on the right (notice the Mossy Oak comes with a bit set that fits into a little external pocket to where the multi-tool sits in its’ sheath). Both multi-tools are solid. They’ve got some good weight to ‘em, and they fit a man’s’ hands well. Both have locking on every tool you pull out...and they pull out externally without having to open the handles to expose the pliers. Spring loaded jaws on both pliers which helps big time. The Gerber Truss on the left I think was $34, the Mossy Oak made by WorkTools was $21...on Amazon. Can do the same on E-Bay I’m sure.

Can’t go wrong with either one...they’re both damn good, solid multi-tools. And anybody on the receiving end of one will say the same. If I had my choice, go the heavy Mossy Oak 21-1 multi tool. Both are a solid choice though...
