the buddy i was working for 2 story 30x50 bottom floor 30x34 top story with full basement
I liked that framing/house building back in the day...albeit I haven’t framed in years, nor trimmed any, with the exception of some shop/otherwise bullshitt. But once it’s in ya, it’s in ya. Damn good science to know that lasts a lifetime.

i learned alot because he had worked carpentry also
in high school i competed in the state vica competition for carpentry and got the award for that years class at the high school so my name is on a plaque for that
i worked at a manufactured house place after high school along with doing mechanic work
the houses we built was not trailers or mobile homes
they was hauled on a trailer to the house site and crane lifted off the carrier i built the floors there and also went on site to help set the houses
i did carpentry up until i got sick and quit doing those side jobs

whats the smallest you will trust rope in ?
Depends on how kinky I'm feeling dot dot dot.

Really though it depends on the tree. In a white oak like that I'd tie into 1.5" branches as long as I could tie into a couple different branches... in a cottonwood I wouldn't trust much under a 4" branch. Union shape plays a factor too:

It's fine here in this pin oak from the other day, but not a great configuration if the branch is smaller
