Converse had some good shoes back in those days, wore a many o’ pair of Chuck Taylor Converse in low-top and high-top.

I ain’t about all the mix of colors nowadays when it comes to everyday leather tennis shoes. Just gimme white leather and be done with it...my preference anyhow.
Scored a pair of ketchup red Chuck high tops in the 8th grade.
Thankfully, I ran outta fuggs shortly thereafter, and finished high school in work boots or cowboy boots, Wranglers or Levis 501s, and t shirts or flannel.

Had some Cugas, cause the Pumas wuz outta muh price range...
Did finally get me some high top Reeboks in white/red like ole Axl Rose had.
Cutting grass was the only thing keeping me in the game, $20 yards and *s-word. Then a minimum wage job to help with my *s-wordt...didn’t have no other choice back in them days to try and get whatcha wanted.

After three years in the eight grade, I finally quit. They didn't have no place to park my car at the Jr. High anyhow.

I wish.
Loaded straw bales for my cousin from 14 to 16, along with other farm laborer jobs.
Got a "real job" as a painters helper from 16 to 17 for $4.00/HR cash, then worked at a cabinet shop from 17 to 18.
Then got into cranes.
Probably shoulda stayed with the cabinet shop thing...
Graduated and put myself through trade school amongst all that fun, and managed to be a degenerate "in my spare time".
Fuggin kids just dont know...

I showed up to my first Narcotics Anonymous meeting on this same date 15 years ago. I was a few minutes late....and it was raining like a mfer. I busted into the room dripping wet, and some old guy with a big beard got up and hugged me. Freaked me out bad....I almost whipped out my knife. I really can't believe how my life has changed in these 15 years.
