Sloppy Mechanics on FB is good.
Local to me here in eastern PA.

I then got the two stroke bug when I bought a two stroke street bike. 1975 Kawasaki H1 triple. 500cc’s of insanity between your legs.

That gave birth to kawi2strokes.com and a few other iterations of global Kawi sites.

Next, I had a buddy show me how to spilt rounds with a maul. That got me into splitting and selling firewood on the side. Naturally it progressed as I was already into two strokes from my bikes and chainsaw forums are where I found myself naturally.

The internet is all about information sharing. Naturally there has been evolution in the World Wide Web and it seems that forums are fading and Facebook is filling that void. Facebook used to be the place where you would find out who was single, who was hooking up with who, and what bars/parties are going on. This was all during my college years.

Now, FB has evolved so much, it’s not much of what it used to be. Personally, I use it for information sharing, networking, and local community pages to stay informed. Not all social media is bad, just have to utilize it for your needs.

Never had a Kahles but i have a couple Nightforces and they leave me with no desire to try any others.

The glass in the Kahles is the best I’ve ever looked through. The newer NF ATACR are nice. The NXS line never impressed me for glass quality.

The first deer I ever shot was with a 300 weatherby. Was an easy 150 yard shot.....until I found the scope was off several inches. He was broadside turned slightly away. Blew off his front leg....ran for 100 yards, on 3 legs....hit him again closer....what a mess. Cheap scopes on heavy recoiling guns do not make for a good combo.... The second deer I shot, mule deer, was with a 257 weatherby. 100 grain nosler at just under 300 yards. He was trotting along and I lead him several inches. No lead necessary.....hit him in the neck and took out a couple vertebrae and spine. Instant kill.
If the 22-250 and a 300 mag were married and produced offspring it would be born a 257 weatherby.....it's like a flat shooting varmit cartridge but for deer and antelope.
I used to shoot a .300 Weatherby. It was ridiculous, and price/availability of the rounds was fun too.

At a range one day and with the muzzle brake on, I sighted it in. After squeezing off the first round, the entire range went silent and when I turned around, the range officer and all others were behind me asking me wtf I was shooting.

I now shoot a .270 Win. Ruins a lot less meat on the animal and my shoulder.

Yeah I love seeing people's reaction to my 300RUM and 45-70 Marlin. I've never shot a 300 weatherby.

Not trying to turn the haters, but like I said, FB has it's place, especially to a firewood hoarder who leans on free wood.

Never searched FB for free wood but have used Craigslist in the past. That looks like a fun log to play with some big bars.

When I was in Oregon I would search the classifieds and Craigslist every day for firewood so I wouldn't have to dip in to our own stash. We had a huge dragon boiler that was always hungry. And you had to be an early bird, too. I only arrived at one free firewood stash by myself once. Prolly ran in to AS dudes back then(2008-9 or so) not even realising it. I saw a lot of very old saws then, too. I had my early 046 at the time.

I must have had help with these rounds. There's now way I could manage them nowadays. Not looking forwards to the next ten years :(. Maybe @sawfun gave me a hand at the time.
