People that wanna pay 1100 for a 440 are that common ?

Guys I know in the tree biz hardly know the model numbers of their saws...

Thats about right after looking the last week or so. Hell a jug and piston is almost $400.

Your right most of the tree guys around here have what ever is cheap and expendable. They wouldnt spring for a 440 when they were new for $700.

So if someone has taken the time and effort to put away a high dollar saw for 10 plus years, yea Ill pay his storage fee.

I'm not saying the guys I know in the business buy cheap stuff, I'm just saying "NOS 440" would mean absolutely nothing to them. It's just a tool. The market for guys that would pay 1100.00 for that saw is small.

If any of us true saw blooded individuals noticed a NLA NIB MS440 at our local dealer, they could not leave that saw there. They'd MT their pockets trade in their shoes he'll some would trade in their missus for that saw. When I read the story I a few pages back I was gonna post, 'your gonna miss this saw, strike while the iron is HOT'! Then next page stated the bs story that his mate sold it underneath him. It's not that I can't believe the 'story', I can't believe you returned to your car empty handed the 1st time you saw it. The reason D/Dave has a NOS Arctic is because when he saw one pop up 4 sale, his heart rate jumped so high he near had an attack, then he did whatever he HAD to do right then to own the damn thing.

Who was the guy on here, that got a nos saw from dan, then had it up for sale for a lot more than he brought it for. Dan didn’t say who it was..

It could be that someone reading this did the research, phoned the dealer and it sailed it way.

I’m not saying this is the case, but silly to speak about it here, then see it slip away,,,,:BangHead:

At $1100, I’d pass on a 440.
