I have a husky 350 project I'm trying to bring back and I'm going to need a new oil tank/crank case and then a piston, but I can get that later. Looking for either new or used, but must be OEM

Yep, that's how I got it, I wonder what causes it to do that.

So is it the mufflers working loose that causes this?

Yep. Later there was a brace designed to help keep the muffler on. Lots of early 350s ended up with a hole in the tank.

Can I attach this brace? I found I will also be needing an OEM piston and cylinder, or a really good alternative, I really enjoy bringing saws back to life and really hope I can rebuild this thing. I'm wanting it to be my truck Saw.

I have a husky 345 for parts, runs real well but looks like it bounced around the back of the truck for a couple years. I thought that the 345/350 were pretty much the same saw minus the smaller displacement. Or take the throttle levers and hand gaurd off your 350 and use the 345 as is.
