Install the piston, no rings, and install the jug. Mark the intake port on the piston at bdc with a pencil. Remove jug and piston and fit the piston back in the jug where your intake port is drawn
That's as far as the piston goes down. The windows are still above the lower transfer cut out

I done did that...thought they were pretty close...maybe not, I need a new prescription, I admit it. What if I raise the lower transfer cut outs?

I usually raise and widen them to fit the piston at bdc. But they aren't in front of me to look at right now either
