Welcome to the site, and tell me what your planning for your 460. I have 3 046/460s in the works, and a ported one that is STRONG! (It's Dr Al's fault)!

Will be happy to help you with any questions you have, or how to accomplish things w/o the proper tools!!! (and, what you just need to get).

Recently got one going with a Meteor piston and an HL Supply jug that I did a little port work to myself, and it runs very nice. No machining!

I want to use an OEM cylinder, and I'll clean the intake and exhaust port a little. I'm not confident enough to touch transfer ports lol I want to use an oem or Meteor piston.

I've already got a standard and big bore Hyway kits, and I test parts for them. I just want it to come out making stock power at least. It's to hold me over until the 462 gets here (3rd quarter of 2019).

OEM or Meteor piston are both great, as is OEM cylinder.

Try a test assembly w/o base gasket and check your squish, it often works.

Make or buy a timing wheel and check the port #s. Often on a 460 will benefit a lot from lowering the intake port, which you can do w/o any special tools.

After doing all this work, you don't want to get out run by a 044/440!

Thanks, I sent you a PM about it. My 360 is running with no base gasket, squish was .023".

Well I wasnt going to share my chainsaw secret, but now I will. I mix 116 octane leaded racing gas 20:1 with astroglide. Cant go much richer though, it's so slick the piston will go out the exhaust port.

I think you'll fit in well here.
