I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Bryan, a 16 year old from Plainfield, CT. I’ve been working on Chainsaws and other 2 stroke engines for almost a year now. I have a page on Facebook called Connecticut Chainsaws and an Instagram account called 2_stroke_repair. I’m still learning all the time and any input is always welcome!

Welcome Brian. This site is full of people with helpful knowledge. There are large volumes in the form of technical knowledge and equally important is business and and customer service knowledge.
Good luck on your new endeavor

Regards
David

Dan, what do you prefer?

You will find most guys here just have a passion for the saws. There are some devoted to one brand but the majority love them all. I think Dan likes everything :)

I’d agree. I mean my dream saw is an 090 av but I’ll fix and run any saw

Honestly you should form your own opinion Bryan. We joke a lot about what’s better here, but they all have good and not so good models.
My personal preference is any saw that puts a smile on my face. I started with huskies so they have a feel to them that just feels right to me. But I have some good running stihls also. And also Dolmar/ Makita make a very strong competitor!

Welcome to OPE Bryan! There’s a lot of good people on here. I see you’re in CT as well. There’s a few more of us around here. Good luck with your new business, and I hope to see you at the gtgs.

Oh, and you need more Dolmars/Makitas, obviously. Lol
