Thanks for the pics. My farmertec cylinder looked way better than that. One thing I'm interested in is if the fast idle works. My clone has never worked. I even put a OEM lever and trigger in it and it still has never worked.

I just can't put that cylinder back on so I ordered one of the new Hyway Titanikel plated cylinders with a pop up.

Are you gonna go with different wrist pin clips and pin along with your OEM wrist pin bearing? I've got lots of different clips and pins if you need some options.

The fast idle is working on this one.

Thanks for the offer, I have two Stihl clips already and I think I'll just use the pin that comes with the Hyway piston.

That's good. I'm sure mine would start easier if it worked.

That little button for the choke/fast idle feels a little soft so I'll probable replace it sometime in the future.

When the Hyway cylinder gets here I'll put up some pics with the timing numbers, I'm not going to bother with timing the one that came with the saw.

My 660 kit saw had lots of problems that I had to sort out. It runs good but it's hard to start. Sometimes I get worn out trying to start it and give up. Especially if it's been run for a while and then you cut it off for a few minutes.
My Husqvarna kit has been great. The only things I have replaced are the decomp, spark plug and the pull rope. It starts easy hot or cold.

Mine never worked on my all oe 066. It has no decomp so priming it with the choke shut four five turns slowly seems to work good on it and the early 084. That saw is best started off high idol cause it drives the drum right through the brake and gets hot quick on the drum surface. You need a decomp on that thing.

I might regret it but I ordered a Neotec 660 clone, I didn't really want a full wrap but read that the aftermarket half wraps were soft. When it's get here I'll put up some pics of the cylinder and the timing numbers, any tips would be appreciated, I've already ordered Caber rings and Stihl circlips for it. Pics of it are pulled off ebay.

I have new Hyway handlebars here in half wrap if you would like to trade yours. My OEM one is used a lot but good if you prefer that one. The 3/4 wrap would go nicely on my 066 felling saw.
“Mirrored Honing”…

Sounds like RIPSAW jargon lol
Sumptin got lost in that translation lol.

I would order it but it take 1 to 3 weeks before they ship it. I just talked with a hardware store in the next town that sales Stihl stuff, they said they could order it and it would take 3 or 4 days to come in. If I can get over there this week I'll order one. It's a pain to find OEM Stihl stuff online.
If your dealer won't order parts for you over the phone have a talk with them in person about service.

Thanks, I'll just hang on to this one, it doesn't have any give to it.

The farmertech piston didn't have the support wings on the bottom of the skirts, in the kit I had.
Hell doesn't look too bad considering the price. Did you happen to get a squish on the original set up or pull the cord for a feel?
I didn't get the squish but it felt like it had good compression pulling it over. I'll put it back on and get the squish for you.

Squish is with the gasket.
