I'm going to pull the top end when I get it so I can check out the cylinder and make sure there isn't any trash in the case, so I figured I might as well put good rings, clips and that bearing in it while I got it apart. Other than that I'm going to run it like it came and change stuff out as needed.
Might be a good time to delete the base gasket or if your like me do a quick scan of Amazon, I've found 2 brand new retuned pistons from Amazon warehouse, one was a Hyway pop up and one a meteor. ;)

I may delete the base gasket, depending what the squish is. Once I get it and have a look at the cylinder, I'll have a better idea of what I'm going to do to it. Most likely I'll just set the squish to .020, do a muffler mod and see how it runs.

Thats also a good idea, just be aware that i had 3 p/c sets on hand and swaped them around to find a reasonable squish, I also have the 2 OEM base Gaskets in the mix.

I ended up taking .05 off the cylinder base ,( old farmertech with the [KS] casting symbol) and using a meteor piston with caber rngs and a base gasket delete.
A friend of mine came over with his Blue thunder 660 which we both agree is a very strong saw and he mills with it. He had an opportunity to run my build and it blew him away in the difference, my throttle response is better and the rpms climb higher ,but I think noodling a log with the full 34" bar and full comp really had him grinning.
I know it's stronger than my 394xp ( for now).

I'm just going to put a 30' bar on it for now and lives through milling some pine trees I'll probable do some mild port work on it.

Opened up my Husqvarna Archer bar so it would fit on the 660 and also ordered a Cannon tip for it. The saw should be here tomorrow.

Glad yours is still going, this is the put together one I bought a few years ago. I hope this clone holds up better than that one.

Did you get to run it much or did it break right off the bat.

I didn't run it very much. I slowly stripped it of parts for other saws then it sat for a couple of years. I then put it back together with almost all OEM parts and sold it to a guy, 3 weeks later he brought it back like that, so I took an aftermarket case and an OEM crank with Nachi bearings put it together and gave it back to him. Just luck of the draw.

Awesome. If it's not too much trouble, could we see some pictures of it when you get it?

I'll take some of it and of the cylinder. I might end up putting a Meteor cylinder on it, I've had one in my cart at HL all day trying to decide if I want to put $100 more into this saw, they have them on sale today for $95.

Shipping is impressively fast on the one you bought.

I think it's coming from an Amazon warehouse, when I first looked at the shipping it had Amazon at the top but that disappeared once it started moving.

I've done the same thing before. It may come with a good cylinder and you won't even need it.

I've been looking around at pics and videos of the Farmertec G660 to see if I can tell if the Neotec 660 is made in the same factory, here's some screen shots of the Farmertec cylinder. In the video the guy starts looking at the cylinder around the 8 minute mark.

I pulled the cylinder and it looks like the same cylinder that the Farmertec G660 has on it. The ports look like sh*t but the plating looks ok and I can fix the ports with a little grinding.
