Well the spark test I have has 10, 20, 30 and 40, for the measurement but I think it is manufacture specific as 30 is almost an inch and 20 is a little over 1/4 in. I tested on another saw and it would run at 20. the 576 would not make the jump. it did spark at 10. I am becoming more suspect of ignition side. But jury is still out. and need to get a good pressure vac test.

Ok problem found. And this seems messed up. The two bolts the hold the stator in sheered off. So in short it needs a fly wheel , stator, and other small parts normal wear parts.
My biggest concern is getting the bolts out of the case. Plus parts alone are like $260.00 labor can quickly become an issue if the bolts don't come out easy.

I've had that problem on a few; just buy a mechanical carb and you'll have a non-AT 576.

Huh, I've got a 576 A/T demo that has 40+ tanks thru it...and it's gutless. Bringing it back to the dealer next week for him to check it out

Hmm shouldn't be gutless. It is a smooth saw and not as angry as others so many times leaves a guy feeling less then impressed.

You know what @CoreyB you very well may be right. The antivibe is lovely and it truly starts very well hot or cold. It honestly felt overworked with a 28" bar on it but felt right at home with a 24.
The guys that I sell them to use them for walnut mostly and always a 24" bar. They only use 28" on their 395's
To add a bit more perspective Their 372's usually wear a 20-24" bar .

Our business cuts everything, so I need a well rounded saw that can run up to a 32" bar in all kinds of wood. One week we are taking 3' diameter oaks, then the next we are in a white pine grove.
