This looks like the Markusson product.

In the right market, having that set up where customers can see it would attract business.

How much?
Fish, didn't you comment that setup was the issue with the Franzen auto grinder? That these work best when you have a bunch of similar chain loops to grind?

Good point, Philbert. You could spend a bunch of time setting this robot up from one chain tooth style to the next. I wonder if that is addressed anywhere in the presentation. How easy is it to go from 404 to low profile Picco?

I don't know if it could handle .404.
I can't tell from the video what the setup is like on the Oregon one. Also not sure it does the depth gauges.
Was just curious about the price.
The owner at the dealer in Louisville didn't like me much. My open dislike of having to use his robot didn't help.
One couldn't get much work done having to futz with it all day, and if the chain had a lot of damage, you had to run the loop through several cycles, or else burn the cutters.

Check out the Markusson link above. They have 3 models. Their top model says it will clean gullets and adjust depth gauges. Rated for 3/4, .404, 3/8, and .325. I assume that it will do 3/8 low pro, but maybe the wheel is too thick.

Not sure about the Oregon specs.

I remember the Franzen couldn't do the .043 ga very well.
On this model, do they have to change wheels to do the big stuff?

They have a German made auto sharpener similar to that one at the Ace Hardware here.
I ask what it cost and the price was 22,000 .
You have to manually set it up each time but it does the rakers at the same also.
the guy told me they always grind at 30* and 60*.
6.00 bucks for a loop up to 20" bar.
I'll keep my Oregon 511A:treadmill:

Anybody had any luck with these knock-off Oregon grinders? I've never owned a grinder, always filed. Not sure I wanna be $300 into something I won't useScreenshot_2016-08-10-23-34-26.png

That's the exact same grinder I have. I've had mine for over 2 years now. It's sharpened more chains then I can count. The only issue I've had with mine was I worn out the threads for the vise swivel knob and had to cut new threads.
Over all I've had really good luck with mine

$75 seems like a decent price for one. Maybe some anti seize or grease on the commonly used knobs and they'd last better. I think I'm gonna try one

Whole threads on these on 'another site'. Some folks found inconsistent quality issues. Some had to tweak their clones. Some were (are) happy.

I have found big differences in grinding with better quality wheels, so you might consider upgrading those for better results.

If you'd like I can bring my grinder and wheels along with me to geniusfest. You can check it out and maybe give it a try. Just a thought
