It’s always nice ethic to give someone a clean saw to work on, I don’t like when people give me something filthy!

Same!! I always courtesy clean equipment for my customers. Same with my own stuff. Once I take something apart I always clean it. Parts will be here within a week and I'm going to Dan's in a couple of weeks for him to supervise and help me reassemble.

That’s a part of the process I enjoy, cleaning’m up. Makes re-assembly so much easier. And that’s when I find what also needs to be replaced.
Nice job

Thank you! Didn't take very long either. Used my solvent tank, brake cleaner and compressed air.

Anyone have a recommendation for a replacement carb? Was cleaning up the small parts and also took a look at why the carb wouldn't return all the time and the return spring on the throttle plate/shaft is broken. [emoji3525]

I probably have a carb if you need one. Just cover the postage. Tis Christmas time.

Sounds good. Look it over and let me know if there is anything else you may need while I'm digging.

Get a piece of that reflective tape (the kind used on heater ducts) and put it under where the muffler goes. Sometimes the muffler on these gets loose and the tape will protect the tank until you discover it and tighten the bolts. Good tip for any saw but the 350 style is necessary. Mike

This is how I rectify that.

I was not trying to negate your fix. I was trying to add additional insurance. That plastic under the muffler can be protected even if the muffler does not get loose, it still gets hot. 30 cents worth of sticky foil and you are good to go. Do you know anything else that protects so much for so little? Mike

Just out of curiosity would a base gasket delete and muffler mod gain me anything over stock?

Will raise your comp 15 lbs. or more. Muff mod is a must.

Awesome! Definitely going with gasket delete. Was browsing on eBay and found this! Looks like it might be an improvement over stock.
