I learned to drive on my Dad's 64 Galaxy with a 352, ran great. Also, my 427 Holman + Moody block was stamped "352" on the block!

But I think 65 was the last year they made them. 390s after that, also a darn good motor.

Nothing at all wrong with a 352 FE, my Dad has a NASCAR spec one "Thunderbird Special" in his 1965 Galaxie 500 sportsroof, at 360 HP it doesn't give anything up to a 390.
Yep they run good with the 390 rv cam in them with the 390 4v cylinder heads that all my dad ever did to make 352 and 360 to run strong.

One nice thing about the fe is they can take one heck of a beating.

I beat the daylights out of a few 390s and just could not break them, they were tough motors! I also put an aggressive 427 solid lifter cam in a 390 (in a 68 Mustang GT), and it was insanely fast.

Interesting detail about the movie is that the 375hp 440 charger was faster, so they had to keep backing off the accelerator so the 325hp 390 mustang could keep up in the chase scenes. I read it in a article somewhere.

Yea, I read that too, I was dying for them to let me build the Mustang for it. My Royal Blue 68 GT 390 ate up 440 6 pack Super Bees (with headers + traction bars). It was the fastest car I ever owned, and the only one I never lost a race with, and I raced anyone and there were lots of fast cars on the streets of the mid 70s (all the late 60s super cars had been worked by then). It was my "Blue Bullet"!!!

It beat all the fastest cars at my college (we had a big get together).

It did not just win, it walked away from every other car I raced.

Raced a "worked" 383 Road Runner, and I let off the gas after 3rd gear, I was over 20 lengths ahead of him.

Every now and then you just get an engine that is a freak, and this was one of them.

I remember another guy that had a freak 396 Chevelle. (I did not have my car when he had his). Was beating everyone, but he had to put a 427 Chevy in it … it was slower, and he sold the 396 engine to buy the 427!!!

Did you ever think maybe they will ad an even larger bore cylinder and jump it up even higher, I'd like to see that happen as it seems to be overbuilt with a purpose in mind, hopefully that's one of the purposes.

They’ve been under built for so long it was a step change for them: hopefully.

I’m sure there will be something from
Them to compete with the McCulloch 5 cube.

It’s hard not to be interested in a 70cc saw that weighs only a 1/2lb more than a 562. If it runs like a ported 562 then it should be fun. Interested to see how both 462/572 do in the long run.

More like 1/4 lb more, if that, depending on whose #s you use. A 72 cc saw with virtually the same weight … hard to beat!

The 462 is 13.2 lbs, I have seen the same weight on the Husky website for the 562. I believe the accurate weight for the 562 is 13 lbs even, so, less than 1/4 lb more!

69D55A08-FC89-4EFF-9841-1A5C746BF5E1.jpeg It’s not the same weight... but that said, it’s got to be the lightest 70cc out there now. I would however like to see the 462 on a scale to see the actual weight. Paper specs aren’t always completely trustworthy.

Paper specs ain't the only thing thats for sure, and not just on weight.
Did I post this here, can't remember but I ain't looking back thru to figure it out lol.
I can't do that with my 70cc saws, at least not as long lol.
I wanted to take this one home, as previously said why have a 60cc saw, which is kinda how I roll anyway.
The 462 would make a great 20" lightweight bar setup, but not a 21" LOL.
