View attachment 140835 Went out to the mailbox just then found a husqvarna catalog there looks like the 572XP has been released in Australia,but for that price recommend retail price it can stay there it’s only $50.00 cheaper than the MS661:(
Yikes! I guess they don’t wanna sell them in Australia. That sucks

Too bad husky didn't go a little bigger on the bore 50-52mm would bump the displacement nicely and should of put it at the top of the 70-80cc class on power. no question the stihls the lighter of the two so husky should of went for a decided power advantage. right now the 462 looks pretty hard to beat on paper

Did you ever think maybe they will ad an even larger bore cylinder and jump it up even higher, I'd like to see that happen as it seems to be overbuilt with a purpose in mind, hopefully that's one of the purposes.

No worries Todd, I'm sure randy will have a ported one on your porch for less than that even after the conversion :D.
Still wondering what has happened to the comparison here.
@Mastermind any updates yet?

Had to stop and get up some hay. I baled 219 rolls of hay this year. That much work sorta put the brakes on me having time to post videos and make comparisons. Rest assured that I've been tinkering on these saws though. I've learned a lot about the 572 so far....and am in the middle of making a few more changes.

I'm not keen on posting a lot about what I've done right now though. I'll likely wait till the saw is more widely available to talk much about the mods I've used.

I hear that, getrdun.
Whether you share specifics or not, I'd enjoy some vids when you get a min :).
That being said I know it's a busy time of the year for everyone.

They have done that, look at the 2100, 288, 346, 390... they all started as smaller cc models...

Yea I know, the 352 FE motor morphed into the 427, but then no one wanted 352s any more … see where I'm going!!!

Nothing at all wrong with a 352 FE, my Dad has a NASCAR spec one "Thunderbird Special" in his 1965 Galaxie 500 sportsroof, at 360 HP it doesn't give anything up to a 390.
