This just hasn't been Greece's Summer! Monday burning and Thursday flooding. Images coming out of Athens today...

YA i would rather talk saws than fords any day of the weekThe 390 was one of my favorite Ford Motors, and my fastest car was a 68 Mustang GT with a 390 with a very aggressive solid lifter cam. Was faster than both my 427 and 428 CJ.
Of course, the 427 is a better motor, but I would take a 390 over a 428. 390 has smaller stroke and is internally balanced. I beat the snot out of several 390s and never blew one of them, they are tough as nails.
Had them in 67 and 68 Stangs, and learned to drive on a 65 Country Squire with a 390 4 bbl (car was pre owned by Charlotte Ford). (My Dad knew a Ford Exec). I beat the snot out of that motor, no way it should have survived, but it did.
(For days I've been trying to get to the end of this thread, doing several pages a day) Time for the saws!
What if ford made a chainsaw!![]()
