I am no fan of the 5 series Husqvarna saws, but it sounds like something is up with that 550. My 550 is strong now that it no longer has leaking transfer seals, or a leaking intake boot, and a new AT-12 carb.[emoji15]

OK seriously though it actually runs crazy strong! it just took awhile to get it there[emoji19]
I agree, I'm pretty sure a 346 will smoke a 242, and a 550 will smoke a 346 all stock saws, so there was certainly something going on.

I’ve heard the auto-tune and mtronic systems do not like the smoke from fires - heard it messes em up ... anybody want to chime-in any info / experience on this topic ?
I’ve had the 661 get grumpy from temperature swings. I reset it every time it does it and it’s been doing it less. I don’t think the electric carb saws do well with heat. The restrictive tank vents have something to do with it too as well I think. Looks like husky has taken some steps to prevent heat soak in the 572. Which is a good sign.

Update: it’s gonna be a tough night. Fires jumping everywhere. Prime Minister urgently returns to Greece.

Greece is on fire from North to South
Athens on fire West and East. It’s a well scheduled plan.

As usual public services are a mess, they lost it completely.

Me and a few other volunteers gonna camp at East Athens near fire. I think we ll have to fell trees during night. Lots of heavy smoke, visibility sucks almost zero.

I can come with the motorbike via Oropos and bring whatever you guys need. Offer stands, let me know!

Chainsaws suck! V-8 Pickups RULE!

8 in a V, sit down to pee.

6 in a Row, Ready to Tow.
I’m wif Heef on this one... Cummins FTW! :campeon:

I learned to drive in a 1979 f150 4x4 with the granny first. You could get out and walk faster than granny gear lol. They sure do climb good with that tranny. I think it's a t18.
Sure it’s not an NP435?

You’re lucky... I got to learn on a damn ‘78 Chevy with a 250 6 cylinder and a 3 on the tree! High geared sumbitch would do 50 in first gear...

My camaro came with a 250 but had 3 speed on the floor, the engine sucked but the 3-speed I actually liked it, once I put a “ budget build” 10-1 307 it was actually fun! 55mph in first and 99 in second! But now I have twice the power and twice the gears.lol win win! Lol

Was there a 462 or 572 in this thread?

Propelled engine aircrafts, never ending explosions from flaming cars, houses, Gas Stations etc, screaming souls, population evacuating to unknown location, trying to jump at sea, heavy smoke with almost zero visibility and breathibillity, non stop sirens.

Yesterday was D-Day for innocents.

I’m sad and angry for those losses. I’m sorry that we couldn’t save more. I’m sorry if we could do better and we didn’t.

P.S sorry for completely derailed post

I feel I should honestly give you credit for your offer to travel miles for help and publicly say a big thank you.

From a person that lost their childhood home to fire, I can tell you there is no worse feeling than the feeling of helplessness. Standing and watching while an event this devastating is happening is absolutely heartbreaking. The least I could do is offer to help in someway.

Absolutely heartbreaking and frustrating.

Praying for our fellow man. God help those poor souls in Athens.

It is definitely needed. Some personal accounts starting to unfold. A family friend very luckily made it out with their lives, but lost 3 of 5 dogs and their house to the fire.

Three days mourning has been declared for the nation.

Have they got some control of the fires yet?

I was talking about that other 6 in a row.
I know... I was gonna comment on that, and forgot. My Cummins is a beast when it comes to towing. Gonna get a new one in 2020 when the new trucks come out... hopefully it’s worth the wait. For now, the 5.9 handles whatever I throw at it.
